Painted Landscape - Jigsaw Puzzle

Landscape photography was very popular in the 1940s and 1950s as the nation became mobile and discovered the beauty that America had to offer. No longer did one have to experience nature through descriptions in a book or a few, limited photos of national parks.

This photograph, frozen in time on Anscochrome film which never fell victim to degradation, has a cartoon-like feel that allows the viewer to be lost in the splendor of the imagery.
